The full range, chosen carefully.
Medication, psychotherapy and advanced neuromodulation — each offered where it is the right tool, and explained before it is used.
Ways to work together.
Ongoing psychiatric care
Continuing care over time — evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy and regular follow-up with one physician.
One-time consultation
A single, thorough evaluation that ends with a clear formulation and recommendations.
Ongoing consultation
Periodic review alongside your existing psychiatrist or physician, who continues to manage your day-to-day care.
Collaboration with current providers
I work with your therapist, psychiatrist or primary-care physician rather than replacing them.
Family member consultation
Guidance for relatives who want to understand a loved one’s condition and how best to help.
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
Every course of care begins with an extended evaluation — usually two sessions of 60 minutes — that reconstructs the history of your symptoms over time, reviews prior treatment in detail, and considers medical, sleep and substance contributors. It ends with a clear formulation, a diagnosis, and a plan. If available, prior medical records are helpful. Please create a list of medications taken, their maximum dosage and duration, and efficacy or adverse effects.
Second opinions and diagnostic consultation
For people, families or referring clinicians who need a focused answer to a specific question — most often whether a recurring depression conceals a bipolar course, or why treatment has not worked. A consultation ends in a summary, shared with your treating clinician if you wish.
Medication management
Pharmacology done carefully: the right agent for the right diagnosis, at an adequate dose for an adequate time, with side effects and laboratory monitoring managed properly and every change explained. Special attention is given to the histories of people who have been through many medication trials, where the pattern of what worked, what did not and what caused harm is itself diagnostic.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is offered in the practice alongside medication, and for some people instead of it. When you already have a therapist you trust, the practice works in coordination with them rather than replacing them.
Personalized, image-guided TMS
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive, medication-free treatment in which focused magnetic pulses stimulate the brain circuits involved in mood. My training in interventional psychiatry and my doctoral work in medical imaging come together here: treatment is planned with targeting informed by imaging, so that stimulation is delivered to the right place for the individual rather than to a population average.
